Audit Aware Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 16, 2026
Our Commitment
Reason Consulting Corporation ("Reason," "we," "us") wants Audit Aware, available at https://www.auditaware.com, to be usable by everyone who works in the state and local government offices it serves, including people who rely on assistive technology.
We treat accessibility as part of how we design, build, and support the service, and we work to improve it with each release.
Conformance Status
Our target for Audit Aware is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is consistent with the standards adopted under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, as revised.
Audit Aware is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means that some content or features do not yet fully meet the guidelines.
We are remediating the remaining nonconformances and expect Audit Aware to conform fully to WCAG 2.1 Level AA no later than April 2027, and we will update this statement as findings are remediated.
Measures We Take
- We include accessibility requirements in the design and development of new features.
- We use semantic markup, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus indicators, and text alternatives for meaningful images.
- We test each release with automated accessibility tooling (axe) and with AI-assisted accessibility checks, supplemented by keyboard-only navigation testing.
- We track reported accessibility issues alongside other defects and prioritize them by impact on users.
Known Limitations
Interactive maps and geospatial visualizations in Audit Aware may present limitations for screen-reader users and for users who cannot operate a pointing device, because map interaction depends on visual and spatial input.
The business and location data shown on a map can also be reached in tabular form within Case Manager, and we will help any user who needs an alternative way to reach that data.
Some documents uploaded to cases by customers are outside our control and may not be accessible, and we encourage customers to upload accessible formats where they can.
Compatibility
Audit Aware is designed to work with current versions of modern browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, in combination with commonly used assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software.
The service may not perform as intended with browsers that are no longer supported by their vendors.
Feedback and Requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in Audit Aware, or need content in an alternative format, please contact us at contact@reason.consulting and describe the page or feature, the assistive technology you use, and the problem you experienced.
We aim to respond within ten (10) business days, and we will work with you to provide the information or function you need in an accessible way.
Procurement Documentation
An accessibility conformance report for Audit Aware, generated from our accessibility testing tooling, is available on request, and procurement officers may request it at the address below.
This statement describes our current practices and is not a warranty, and our contractual commitments to a customer are those stated in the customer's Ordering Document and Data Processing Addendum.
